Nova Scotia Romp
September 2006
On September 10, 2006, Woofers the goldendoodle and his family hosted the first annual doodle romp in Nova Scotia. It took place in West Brooklyn, which is located in the beautiful Annapolis Valley!
The weather was drizzly and rainy just before the romp but the skies cleared in time for everyone to have a wonderful time! 21 doodles attended 3 labradoodles and 18 golden doodles. The youngest doodles were Oscar age 8 weeks and Skipper - age 12 weeks. The oldest doodle was Maggie ( from Bridgewater) - age 2 years 4 months.
The doodles had a great time running and playing with each other. Many of them also enjoyed the doggy pools at Mountain Dog Lodge. Following the romp, some of the doodles enjoyed a hike with their families. The hike followed a wooded trail which ended at a wonderful field filled with large round hay bails. The doodles enjoyed the freedom of running and playing in an open field while the children enjoyed sitting on the large round hay bails. It was a fun filled family afternoon with many reunions and connections made! Thank you to all who attended!
Special thanks to Suzanne at Mountain Dog Lodge for her hospitality.
Lets plan to do this again in 2007!
