Doods are wonderful dogs, and we have compiled a list of Goldendoodle & Labradoodle breeders who come highly recommended by the owners of their dogs.

Since 2001, owners have found this site and placed their stories on it. We decided then as a group that we would only list Goldendoodle and Labradoodle breeders who met certain criteria. We wanted breeders who not only health tested, we looked for breeders who backed their dogs with owner-friendly health warranties and who earned a reputation for providing healthy pups and treating people professionally.

• The breeders have agreed to health test their breeding dogs for genetic diseases.

Hip Dysplasia is one of the most frequently occurring problems in large breed dogs. HIP TESTING is paramount as the incidence of HD is much higher than other genetic problems. The incidence of eye, cardiac, vWD, etc. has been comparatively rare in Doods.

It is recommended that you ask for copies of the documentation on the parent dogs of a pup that you are considering and please let us know if you come across any difficulties obtaining proof of clearances.

• All site breeders state that they will stand by the health of their pups by offering a 2 year health warranty covering all levels of Hip Dysplasia, and offering monetary compensation without the return of the original pup.

• The breeders have agreed to maintain a professional relationship with the client during and after the adoption of the puppy.

When a breeder contacts the site, and meets all the criteria for listing, they are added to a list of new recommended breeders which is sent to people inquiring about Doodles. Once these kennels have sold dogs to the Dood community, feedback is received from the owners who have visited the kennel and others who have their dogs. If they get raving reviews – they are asked to join the site list of breeders. This process can take over a year. There is a fee for listing.
